i had a dude in the sand colored taco pull up next to me and roll his windows down...at a stop light..and said nothing.

truck was lifted on spacers and a BL...I cried a little.

 

Yeah, i always want to ask if they are part of TW, but i figure he see's my decals, if he were, he wouldnt have a problem saying whats up! I know if i pulled up next to another taco with TW decals i would want to know who it is.

That's awesome. in that case, did you ever find the icecream truck? i can totally picture the guy in sitting prison, catching all kinds of shit for getting busted by some guys in an ice cream truck

You'd be surprised at how low of a price we can get things, like this ice cream truck. This budget wasn't so high. Other shows have SICK ones, though.

our police force keeps very busy. I've seen melborne on cops 3 times, and there may be more that i haven't seen. once was actually a police chase of a jeep wrangler that was stolen from a florida tech student.

were you actually in melbourne, or just nearby?

"These coil-overs were never designed to be a “Lift Kit”, but rather as a performance shocks. They obviously do provide a bit of lift, but we strongly recommend just running them at 2.25-2.5” of lift. That will give you the best ride/performance possible. Sorry if this sounds rude, but if you crank a bunch of pre-load into the coils, to gain lift and it rides like a tank....don't call us. That is exactly what happens when you pre-load a coil too much."

Yeah, we ended up in Melbourne. Now that I think about it, more were found in Cocoa, but we cut out of Melbourne early tonight.

DSM helped me settle on 700# coils for my Kings so there would be little pre-load. Rides like a dream. Needs a bit more weight in front, though.

 

skids/winch

i'd like to revalve mine and step up to a 700lb spring too. did they set you up with a king or eibach spring?

I have yet to instal my ATO skids from the Dec group buy. Am looking at a Warn m-8000s, I think it is. You have a winch?

I stayed with King coils. The big decision was 650# or 700#. Demello installed the bumper and now things rattle. Not sure wtf it is, though, since everything was hastily installed within 2 weeks. Hoping weight (skids, maybe winch) help even things out.

Will be around until the 5th with a lax schedule next week so will shoot a pm then. Passing out now... Night, fellas! Morning, Jim!

 

no winch yet, but getting a smitty 8 or 10k with synthetic line, hopefully before the year's out. i have some other major truck purchases coming up that i need/want more.

the 700# was a good choice. even without a winch yet, my bumper, full skids, and other gear in/on the truck are right near the tipping point of the 650s that come on the icons.

That's what a member here told me - buy shocks for future mods, and that his friend had the same thing between maxing out 650's. Didn't cost me any extra on the Kings, but heard it's more w/ the Icons.

So, on my way home from dropping of my little guy at daycare i stopped at Bagel King.. I was going to get a bagel with egg and bacon, they told me to try a potato kinish with egg and bacon, HOLY CRAP was it good!!! Just had to share.
