Behind my 2008 DC rear seats are these black plastic holders

Just brought home yesterday my 2008 Double Cab and behind the rear seats is this cup like plastic holder that is removable. Does anyone know what it is for? I tried to put a hitch ball on it but it looks like it will wobble and irritate the crap out of me. Any ideas?

yeah, The manual should say it's a mag light holder.

 

I put one in it but it rattled too much for me.

 

I was wondering what it was too, guess that's cool to include.

 

I fits my maglite nicely but it is an ineffecient design since it can't be mounted at the edge of the bin s it takes up alot of place. Still a nice thought

 

I recently found out that my cupholder was mobile. That just made my day that I could incorperate big square boxes in my cupholder and not worry about them spilling? I fell in love all over again!

The ring behind the seat is for a flashlight (according the manual). Mine rattled far more than I could tolerate and is now mounted to my seat.

I have yet to adjust the cup holder but may because it is too big as it stands now. Shifted to one side, it would work well as a cup holder with some "storage" on the other side.


I was pretty excited when I learned the steering wheel is telescopic. Having it scoped out made it much easier to enter and exit.

Finally, you may not be aware there is a nice spot to hold the headrest when the rear seat is folded down. Click for picture.

Hmm box wine...not a bad idea at all! You don't need to wire it to the front since it is already there. Just tap an IV directly into your blood stream.

Nice headrest....rest....I nver noticed that, however, i don't usually have my seats folded down for anything.

a rubberband around the flashlight and the holder stops the rattling very well...i have enough room in that compartment, so i didn't do the maglite beside the driver's seat mod
