Just recieved my new upper control arms and I really want to just head out and put them on, but after looking through as many relevant threads as I could stand, I couldn't find an answer to my question. If I install the new arms today, I can't get an alignment done until 3-4 days from now(because of my schedule). Is it unsafe to drive it that long before getting an alignment? Are there serious stability issues? Please keep in mind this is the main kid hauler for us. Thanks for any advice!

there shouoldnt be any safety issues. i wouldnt go on any long trips or anything though casue it will totall ruin your tires. but you should be good.

fyi firestone does a life time alignment for 160. you will never have to pay for an allignment again.

    A few bolts are different.
I dont think there would be any major problems except for the normal out of alignment feeling, but being as it is the kid hauler, if it were me I would wait.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll try to find a day (hopefully soon), that I can install and get the alignment done on the same day. It's just a shiny new toy that I can't play with yet. Thanks again for the advice.

Do you have time later in the week to do the install and get it aligned all at once?? Cause with the kids in the truck...that seems like the best bet.

if it's just the UCA being swapped out you should be able to use a level against your wheel and shim as needed to get it close, but it shouldn't really affect your toe at all, just caster and camber (how much depends on your setup and the arms) but those don't have near as much affect on drivability or tire wear as toe in/out
