Eddie want to buy my wheels and tires? I have duratracs with like 10k miles on them. They'd be perfect for a set of wheeling tires/wheels, then you still have your current ones if you need to take a long drive with the truck.

And as far as suspension.. its all the fucking same. just go with the group buy.

Whoa, did Boyd actually switch back to his duratracs? Or is this an old video you just uploaded?

    lol...

Look into them. I would agree most people posting in there have no idea what they are or what they are for and just wanna be like the Jones's, but some of us know what we want and why. I'm not getting into why I am getting them because some people parrot what is said about them
Rest assured my truck will be much more functional and stronger with them then without them.

Articulation is key when only 1 rear wheel spins ;)

The only reason Kevin has interests peaked is because he was supposed to be releasing them 2 years ago and still to this day has not :(

Drew doesn't want all of TW ordering them from the prototype batch. It was a members only thing so he doesn't get flooded with stupid questions by people during the testing phase and so he insures he sells the "test batch" to people who don't cry and whine if something is a little off.

Not saying this is anyone here....just keep it on the DL so the masses don't jump over there :spy:

Thats why you rarely see me post links to there in here. I PM them.

Once again you need to get put back in your hole.

You don't even own a Tacoma and you have spent THOUSANDS of dollars more then me in recovery gear alone so bite me ;)

Your the one with all the buttons and fancy shit so I don't know what your talking about.

Nope. Ant must has old vid.

I think I went to bed too early last night. Here are my thoughts I am just getting into this shit and as of right now I am trying to build a capable truck with out breaking the bank. In the future if I start getting a little more siruis I'll have to make some up grades. As of now I still need the basic up grades likes some new tires. In the meantime we'll see how Anthony makes out. :D

    1) New Clutch (your shit is FRIED)
    2) Tires (not street tires)
    3) Locker
    4) Crawl box
    5) Skids

IMO in that order you should be fine.

For what you do a lift will only help you not high center. That suspension money would be better spent elsewhere - I know - I made that mistake myself.

A locker and crawl box are key when having a stick shift IMO. Unless your running RC with no spotter or like hitting shit tarded like I do you don't need skids when you have sliders....well maybe an IFS skid.

I wheeled URE with the NC clan with no skids, no suspension, 400# of ATO parts in my bed, and had zero issues. Just put the obstacles under your sliders.

I think skids are important. There have been many times where I wouldn't of needed them, but there have been a few times where I'm very glad I had them. Might of had enough clearance without them to not destroy something important, but I'd way rather smash a skid than my transmission or t case

I personally don't care for Wharton. Stokes is a bit tame. Stag hill would be a lot of fun though.

I agree josh, xxxx I would do skids because it's insurance. I will also do bumpers before a crawl box because I want it to look meaner as well as perform mean.

Ant I do, but i still want them before a crawl box. I plan to wheel rc and drive out to co, and Moab. I am now $$$ stable with another vehicle in addition to the bike that I can devote the money to have the rig inoperable for extended periods of time. I think I will do bumpers, partial skids, and lockers as major projects. Cb, tires, head unit, speakers as smaller jobs. This is the longest I've gone with shit box radio and I hate it

I am very interested in those shackle flips. Looks promising.

You never wheeled northern nj.... Eddie can attest to the skids needed there.

Yea, what happened to your home boy who was supposed to open a fab shop up?

Everyone's opinions will be different. To me skids are meh...

If I had to do it all over again that would be the order I did it based on my experiences and what conditions I drive.

lol...no one like my backyard :(

Stokes is....ummm... lame. At least Wharton has 1 hill climb (off limits now) and plenty of water to have fun in.

You already have full insurance. Bash it bad enough and it gets driven into a lake. That's why I have gap coverage. :D

If anything a rear bumper should be first IMHO. I have seen plenty of people wheel hard stuff without a front bumper from Lurry & John in NC to Chad & Scott up here at RC.

Like I said...it's all my opinion based on my experiences.

first off if you think $269 + 70 for cables and connectors and $20 for hf winch cradle are alot of money your nuts.....
im sure you spent more on tires then my whole recovery setup.....

and neither do you....dont see any title in your hands......

and when i got my truck i knew what i wanted......unlike others....
some love to wheel and go places that stockers cant........
    beach, vt, nh, ect.......
and eddie wants a crawler....what the fuck is going on in this world......
eddie should start with a recovery point in the front.. and take baby steps.....

now who is going to stagg next weekend....
i need someone to show me around.....

lol...you have more money in snatch blocks then I do with my whole recovery gear set up. :D

I'm not even counting spare parts you have :)

Doesn't matter anyway....I still drive like a bitch and treat my truck like one. I am the resident NE Tacoma mall crawler and I'm fine with that so tease away.
