We went backwards. Putting Redford at the reins of the primary wage earner of Canada is like having a crackhead managing our finances. It would hurt you with Danni, now we're all fucked.

You sound like you were already backwards .

Alberta may be a have province now , but wasn't it living on handouts for a long time prior to the oilsands ?

I've looked and can't find sources that support this, I believe you're right but can't find the numbers to support it.

I did find this though, slightly outdated since Ont now receives equalization payments.

The original transfer payments were tax collected in those provinces and returned to them by the feds because the provinces agreed to let the feds administer the system. Quebec and Ontario did at times opt out and collected their own taxes. The system has changed over the years to what it is now. I do realize BC is considered a "have". When I told Oz to pull up his socks, I mean that BC would likely be paying more into transfer payments. I know WR was looking at what Ontario was doing to become a "have not", just like Ontario looked at how Quebec qualified as a have not. It isn't only about income per capita.

Agree, but not sure about backwards. Any political party in power for 43 years cannot be a good thing. If you look at the Calgary vote results most the results were very close. Probably those 2 religious nuts were enough to swing the vote to PC.
Of course Edmonton is very union orientated so they voted PC.

If we get a tax increase (which Redford promised not to do) I will be pissed. When traveling down to Fernie, BC we always make sure to gas up get groceries and booze right on the border so we're not paying BC prices..hope AB doesn't follow suit.
She's already outlawed 0.05 blood alcohol.. hate to see whats coming up.

    I don't believe he's really voted before.

It'll be interesting to see what Redford does. However I called that election. I knew at the last moment people would vote PC and leave WR handing.

However I did hear Danielle Smith talk...is she FAS? Like seriously...

Nah, I really was planning on voting liberal, but theres a guy named Mike Allen in the Fort McMurray riding who's for PC. He is the father of one of my best friends, so I've known the guy most of my life, and I know regardless of the PC "Parties" wishes and desires, he'll actually do whats best for the area. Very VERY smart man and very successful.

When I found that out, I actually ended up getting a bunch of my friends to switch votes to PC as well. He was victorious so :woot:

lol i thought the same thing. I met her at a golf tourne in Calgary. She was very nice..as a good politician ought to be. The voice definitely stuck out.

If you look at Calgary most the areas were only 200 votes between WRA and PC.. I think those 2 pastors screwed them over. Eternal lake of fire, and needing to vote a whitey in because they're more diverse never goes down well in 2012.

Exactly. Too off their fucking rocker to really get in. And yeah, everytime she opens her mouth I start wondering where her social worker is hiding...

Hey, if he'll do what's right for the area and the constituents, then he's obviously who's best for that riding.
