While welding them on is easier to put on. I love my bolt ons. Iv taken them off a couple times. Plus if you ever wanted to sell them, ones set up for bolt on already are worth a bit more. But to each their own.

hey this is for john, update on the bumper. got some images of the mock up, took a while to get them up, but up nonetheless.

I have some 10 gauge 304 stainless steel lined up, just need to get some money together to buy it off my schools welding teacher. He also has a CNC plasma cutter that he's going to let me use to cut out the pieces. If everything goes well, i should have this thing on by the end of the summer, hopefully sooner.

    Looking good !
Keep up the good work !

Do you have a welder? Or do you use the ones at school?
Ive been looking into picking up a cheap one . To make a bed rack/tire carrier.
I rent where I live so it would need to be a 110 .

I'm trying to get my hands on a miller tig, preferably the diversion 180. something with higher amperage would be nice though, that can be used on 120-240v. expensive little bastards... but rob (the welding/sculpture instructor) is going to let me use his at his shop this summer.

    Edit: Thanks btw!

Yeah it's at my college, bridgewater state. The sculpture teacher gives everyone in his classes a couple weeks worth of training on acetylene, mig, tig and stick. The people more interested in welding (myself) get a lot more from it though, he'll spend a whole class going over anything you could want to know. However for classes I know Lincoln has welding classes at various tech schools all over new England. Sometime in the next year I'm going to take Lincoln's motorsports welding program. They teach you how to weld magnesium, titanium, 4130, aluminum and i think inconel? The course is out in Cleveland Ohio. So worth the trip and money IMO, it can be applied to everything, from cars and trucks, to aviation.

Some of the sticky weights on my drivers side wheel fell off and i had alittle shake in the front end .So I brought it to get balanced . As of right now I dont have a 285 spare so instead of waiting around for them to balance it . I just tossed the stocks on for the day.
