    3 in. lift /33 in. tires/hitch
I have put a 3 in. lift on my 08 with 285 pro comp's/w classic II 's which in turn has caused some tire rub when fully cranked. I then tried 2 in. spacers to stop the rubbing but this only made it worse. Is there anything I can do other than invest in a 6 in. lift to correct this problem ? Any help would be appeciated.

Spacers will not help. the only thing u could done when running a 285 is to have went with a rim that has stock offset and then put small spacers. the offset is what makes it rub when it turns. Either go smaller or new rims or trim a little.

By the way what exact tire size do u have.

Trimm the inside of the fender...the back tires should be good, but trim the fender closest to the front...that's what rubbing (I think)

i would like to see what u trimmed. Do u have any pictures? i been curious bout that since i first saw your truck. Did u ever figure out if your lift is actually sold as 3.5" or is it sold under the name 3" suspension lift.

It was sold as a 3''

Now for the trimming, they cut the lower part of the fender in which connects with the plastic chasis:

Then they raised the inner part of the fender:

You can see where the inside fender is supposed to meet with the cut plastic but they raised it so that it wont rub against it:

It's pretty difficult to explain EXACTLY what they cut....but if you take a look inside of your front untrimmed fender, then look at mine, you can tell the difference

    hope this helps

Yeah i would think there is some rubbing still when the suspension is tweaked, but that does look good. Like i said before ur one the few with 3" lift running full 33's. Looks great!
