Sick looking CB. Would be nice to color match with the stock amber.

I just drilled 2, 1/2 holes in the back of the cubby for the wires to pass though no velcro or anything to hold it in just gravity it hasn't moved since I installed it. I can take pictures if you'd like

I think other models brands can support bluetooth?
My CB is kinda bare bones, I don't have any shinies

Hmm, had a thought about that side placement.
    1. Unless you are doing an external speaker, the speakers on these units point downwards. I know I lose a bit of volume. When you build the bracket, give some 'breathing room' between the CB and the plastic.

    2. if you were a badass metal smith dude, I think it would be cool to make a protective shroud around the unit.

hey Ben when you get to tuning things, let me know. I might be able to borrow an SWR from work or get some help from our truckers. Either that or I wouldn't mind splitting costs, I haven't re-tuned since my last unit so I might as well take the opportunity.

Thanks for that and some of it I have thought of and some reminds me of how much I don't know - but learning!! Yes, Uniden makes other Bluetooth mics but I am not sure this is Bluetooth technology -- will know more when I get the mic - when it is available.

Always a good reminder about the speaker and this is a concern!!

If I *was* a badass metal fab guy I would do exactly that!! Crazy you would say that - that is exactly what the hold up was -- the guy doing the install said the bracket was not all that great and is building a shroud - with cutouts for speaker and edges of the radio....so you are spot on with that!!

Clean set up. And it just stays there? Doesn't move around?
