heres one for any walleye guys we have on here. this is master angler award from saginaw bay{lake huron}. was 32 inches long and 12 1/2 lbs. i had it mounted in a glass coffee table, cost 600 bills. this was my 5th master angler award, my wife caught her 1st master angler , 3 weeks ago on brest bay{lake erie}. truly blessed to live here in Michigan and we have two of the best lakes anywere for walleyes, that would be lake huron and lake erie.

Thanks! Unfortunately, it was a last minute venture, and I didn't have a scale or a tape, but I feel confident in saying the fish was in the 4-5 lb range. I didn't even have my own gear, I had to borrow the fishing pole, and use a busted up rooster tail. It was fun tho, I'm just glad I had my phone to snap a picture.

My brother and a couple buddies went out on the bay this past Wednesday and caught their limit by 8 AM. They put out of Chesapeake Beach. They got their limit, and decided to stay out and continue catching and releasing. They caught 12 fish over 32". In this pic with their keepers, from left to right, 37", 36", and 33". Jealous! I can't wait to get out.

Hit it hard today. Saw probably 10-15 cobia. Got 5 of them to eat for us. Landed 4. Kept these two slobs. 50+ and 60+ lbs.

Seems like a pretty nice day here, there might be a chance that I can get some fishing in. That is in between a birthday party for a 4 year old and a birthday party for a 6 year old...... I dont know it might be cutting it close....

For cobia there are many options for bait.

We do cast net pogies in the morning just in case the artificials dont work.

For lures we use bucktail jigs with big curly tails or a soft plastic swim bait that looks like a pogy. we have the live bait as a last resort in case the cobia dont want any of our lures.

^^^Nice it is good to fish with lures. I like it, that way you dont have to rely on catching fish. I was lucky enough to always be able to catch green backs. There were a couple of times in the year or 2 I fished that the greenbacks were gone. I always ran a couple of poles with greenbacks or pin fish and I would lure fish everyonce in a while but not too much luck from the pier....
