Useful Ultragauge gauges

Wondering which gauges yall find useful for your Ultragauge? I don't like flipping through the pages so I try to stick to page one.

Here's my current setup:

 

I enjoy watching my timing advance on top of my engine load. MAF is also kind of fun to watch

 

I tried timing advance based on someone's reply in an older thread, but didn't understand it enough to get much out of it. It just seemed to change directly proportional to instant mpgs. Not too familiar with MAF yet.

 

Page 1 is Instant MPG and average MPG,
Miles to Empty, Gallons remaining,
Engine Temp, Intake temp

I have pages 2 and 3 programmed but never use them.
Not sure what the difference is between HP/TQ1 and HP/TQ2.

Now, one question...
On fuel used (MPG correction factor), my first tank it corrected to 1.09-something.
Next tank, I went to input, and it was defaulting to 25-some gallons.
I had to go home to check Fuelly to see what my previous tank was and add both together.

Is there a way to reset that without also knocking the MPG calibration back to 1.0?

 

Rich - To change the correction back to 1.09, you have to drive and use up at least one gallon. Then go back to the calibration and start changing gallons used. Keep inputting different amounts and your calibration factor should creep to 1.09 or whatever.

Of course, I may have completely misinterpreted your question.

 

I'm wanting to fine-tune the correction factor over time, but it looks like the only way to do that is to go to the station with Fuelly info from all of my previous stops and add them to my newest tank.

And really, thinking about that makes sense, since it's not the repeated refuelings that will improve the accuracy, but rather the average over many tanks and many miles.
Giving it actual data from 1000 miles is going to be more accurate than 100 miles.
Fortunately, I only live about 1/2 mile from the station so I didn't hurt my accuracy much by driving home, getting the Fuelly info, then going back and putting the total into the gauge... the UG still showed 21.0 gallons remaining.

 

I thought I had my calibration fine tuned after about 5 or 6 tankfuls, since my calculations were a perfect match with the UG avg mpg for quite a few fillups. That's when I stopped calibrating. Now it is not as accurate, with the UG usually reading lower.

I've since stopped hoping for accuracy and use the gauge to judge the truck's relative performance.

I use Fuelly when I get a chance to update it, but on the go I use Gas Cubby, an app for the iphone.

That reminds me... I need to bump the RPM warning on mine.
Hit the gas making a pass on the freeway and heard a beeeeep beeeeep... WTF?
Looked up, 4800 RPM, alarm at 4000.

Redline is just below 6 on the 2.7 and 4k is not uncommon.

 

I think I turned most alarms off.

If it wasn't my dd I'd care a whole lot less about mpgs. I think I got 4 instant when I floor it.

 

Mostly instant mpg to monitor my driving habits. Also use trip mpg (on the second page), then check mpg when I fill up to see how close. My actual mpg is usually about 1.5 less than what the ultragauge show. Need to work on calibration.
