are the kobalt power tools any good? they have a nice looking drill that's a bit less than makita milwaukee etc, but unsure since they are new to power tools

 

I DONT LIKE THEM......

 

STATE A REASON WHY

 

MY FATHER USES THEM AND THE BATTERY SUCKS ASS....ITS AN OK HOMOWNER IF YOU NOT LOOKING FOR ANYTHING DECENT.....
IF YOU WANT CHEAP ID GO WITH RYOBI INSTEAD OF THAT......

BUT BEST OFF IS DEWALT OR MAKITA.....
I USE MAKITA AND ITS OVER 8 YERAS OLD AND STILL WORKS FINE.....

The only store brand pewer tools I have a problem with are craftsman. The earlier models of corded power tools are good, but I don't like their portables at all, weak. Kobalt is a nice brand, and we have a Kobalt 1/2" cordless impact that we use. Works great. I personally, if I were to go out and buy a cordless drill, would either get dewalt or milwaukee. I used to sell tools at lowes and those were the nicest as far as power, battery life, and longevity. But, you can't beat a great deal.

 

If you go corded, go milwaukee. Hands down, best corded anything out there. AND WHAT'S WITH ALL THE CAPS? ANGRY?

 

WHY IS EVERYONE YELLING ABOUT TOOLS? AND WHY IS A NY'ER IN THE PA THREAD?! F THE RANGERS GTFO DB.

 

What about Bosch?

I'm looking for an 18v Li-Ion drill, here's what lowes has to offer

If there was a HD closer (closest is 1hr away) I'd go there, since they have Makita, Ridgid, and Milwaukee from 180-200

 

I have no expirience with Bosch. If the tag says made in Germany over another brand that's made in China, I'd go with that.

 

Might just buy from Amazon...they have Makita and Milwaukee 2pc sets (drill & impact driver) for ~$200...same price as just drill from HD..

 

fugit goin cord since im living in an apartment so I'm not gonna drop the coin on batteries that are going to die in 3 years whenever i start using them the most.

Anybody know any metal tubing suppliers that are pretty cheap

 

Check out weld shops, you might be able to get a better deal from a weld shop since I assume you're not buying in bulk and you're not a company that frequently purchases from a certain supplier

 

Very good suggestion, or if you know someone who works at a place that handles the material you are looking for they could probably get it for you at cost and you just pay them...
