Stupid me went to a "Soft Cloth" Car Wash yesterday because it was severely discounted after buying gas. Sucker ripped the antenna off right at the base. Now I have the joys of threading another antenna cable into the passenger compartment and the back of the radio unit.

    Joy, joy, joy!

There's a connector for the antenna behind the passenger kick panel.
If you get the OEM antenna, you won't have to do more than pull the kick panel, glove box, and the wheel well liner... maybe the wiper cowling, I didn't trace the cable.

Good to know. I was going to use the OEM to keep things simpler.

    Thanks!

if it snapped off at the base just get the broken piece out and install a new mast. I do this all the time.

I wish it were that easy. I had gotten tired of the mast coming loose and used some blue Locktite to keep it from backing out. It snapped the socket completely out. Will need to replace the entire base.

Well blue locktite does put a damper on things don't it. I would get a 2012 mast as it has a different base that comes with it's own wrench. I'm waiting for a 12 to come in with an extra mast and I'll be shortening it and putting it on mine.
