    I assume the side thats in is like a regular plug, to show it works that way. Then you can try that other side, and it shows you can't just stick something in there that is not a plug. :cool:

    does the other end of the green thing have one prong?

    edit: I'm guessing the end in the receptacle has 2 prongs. tamper resistant plugs have gates in the vertical slots that only open when both are pressed at the same time, preventing kids from sticking something in one slot. here in Canada we have to use those nearly everywhere for residential.
