    I have been driving my wifes prius lately back and forth to work. The other day I drove my truck and noticed going down hills it felt like it was down shifting and lost speed. Did I just get used to driving the prius:eek: or could there be something wrong with my tranny?

    By the way I have a 2010 TRD Sport stock w/ 270/70/17.

    Most likely normal operation.

    Normal, tho it does seem to be used in odd places and not all the time.

    I haven't read the specifics of how/when in the manual but I know coming down a steep hill if I quickly push the brake and let go the engine will kick down a gear and slow me down. This only happens if speed is gained after the brake touch. Also, I usually have to touch the brakes twice or three times for it to work.

    Sometimes on steep declines it will downshift twice from top gear.
