AAL... 1 or 3 leaf?

Getting ready to order my rear lift and was wondering whether to do a single leaf.. Or do the 3 leaf from Icon or wheelers.

Which is better? Better ride?

Wheeler's and Icon 3 leaf respectfully the same. I got Wheeler's 3 leaf and love it, smooth and solid!

X2..don't regret spending a little extra for my Wheelers. I left my overload on too.

 

so I've got 3 factory leafs, i'd remove the bottom and throw in the 3 if i did the 3 pack?

 

remove the overload leaf and install the 3 leaf pack. you can choose to reinstall the over load or leave it off

I don't think it matters, I got it from DSM when I sent in my coilovers to get rebuilt and told them I needed a good AAL do that's what they sent me.

 

i'll see which place comes out cheaper... Wheelers pack from them with shipping, or the icon from DSM with free ship..

 

Ordered Icon pack from DSM.. after free ship and TW discount it came out cheaper.

will i have to have extended brake lines with a 1.5 lift in rear?

 

I didn't since it is only 1.5". I've heard a few people on here say that they can get tight at full droop though. I've never tested it.

Guess it depends on how much you plan to offroad

You need to redrill you brake bravkets to get em to fit you don't need extended brake lines and the TSB plus Icon 3 leaf is too stiff unless you have 200+ pounds in your bed.

 

No tsb leaf here. And I have a bed full of shit. Hi lift and a box full of everything.

 

I have the TSB leaf pack with the Icon 3-leaf and the overload in place and love the ride! The 5100's I have paired with the setup seems to be stiffening up over time but overall it rides great! I didn't use extended brake lines but don't do much in the way of off roading either.
