It will pick up standard 2meter, but race frequencies are business class which most radios need to be modded to be able to transmit on. You will be able to hear us, but if it doesn't come open channel, you won't be able to call out if you get stuck or lost.

If the seller has the software to program it, you should be fine...

Got the spindles gusseted thanks to Dylan! I'd prefer to ride along for the night run if anyone has room. I dont have the lights needed for that. RJ, I hope everything works out with your girlfriend.

Sorry to hear that. We'll be camping at Beal Mountain Saturday as long as we get a camp spot. If we don't get a camp spot there I have a few alternatives. Beal Mountain is just off Mojave Rd. which is not too far from Kelso/Cima Rd.

These are the coordinates. We'll be camping on that mountain.

Hopefully we'll be able to do a night run depending on what time we set up camp, eat dinner and get settled. For those that have been previously, I was thinking we can do a night run on Black Canyon Rd. into Cedar Canyon Rd. Those dirt roads are wide open and graded so the chances of breaking are slim.
