I'm looking for a 2012 TX Pro pkg and found one 800 miles away.

My local dealer is saying I would need to pay $900 transportation fee to have it brought here. Is that reasonable?

I'm not sure if it's reasonable or not. I'm sure regardless of what anyone on the internet tells, you the dealer probably will not change this fee. Why not drive the 800 miles and give that dealer your money.

If that carrier is not delivering there and makes a special trip for your ride then i dont think it is. The dealer is making a few bucks also.

Don't have the time to do that.

The dealer said they are delivering abused vehicle that way and can swing by and pick up the truck.

But with the already higher expense of a TX Pro pkg, adding another $900 is like adding salt to the wound.

I guess I'll either order one or go with a TRD Off Road.

    Decided to order.

    4x4 double cab
    Black
    Nav/entune
    Tow pkg
    All weather mats
    TRD Offroad
    TX Pro pkg

    5-8 weeks ETA
Got dealer to agree to $33667 plus ttl. They would not budge on that being an otd price.

Does that seem reasonable? MSRP is $36434. I think it's a good deal. Leaves dealer some profit over invoice.

Now I gotta see what my FJ Cruiser will appraise at for trade.
