I recently bought new wheels and tires for my '12 reg cab 4x4. I noticed some road noise, which was expected with the MT's but im also feeling a vibration throughout the whole truck. I can definitely feel it in the seats and steering wheel at times. It seems like its more noticeable between 45-70 mph. I have had the wheels and tires balanced twice and also had them road force balanced, but i still notice the vibration. It's stock with no lift. It almost kinda feels like a driveshaft issue, but i have searched and found no tsb's on the driveshafts on the reg cabs only on the double cabs with the two piece driveshaft. I have been told the MT's will have a little bit of vibration but this seems excessive. I have never had MT's on a truck before so it may just be that im not used to the way they ride. Any body else have this issue or any ideas on what else to check? The tires are Toyo Open Country MT's 265/75R16. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Are the new wheels you got hub centric? If not, that might be the problem.

One or more might be out of round. I have had that problem with several brands of tires.

I did some looking just now and they are not hubcentric. What does this mean? Is there a fix for that?

Some companies sell a ring that fits around the hub to fill in the gap between your wheel and the hub to help them center better. This may or may not fix the problem. The only true way to fix it for sure is to get wheels that are hub centric. :(

The stock hub center is 106 mm. What is the wheel center bore diameter? If it's 108 mm or 110 mm, you can get a hubcentric ring that will bridge the gap. Find the PN here and Google for a place to buy them:

Now that you mention it, each wheel in its own packaged box had a black ring in it, but i thought it was for the center cap for whatever reason and i didn't like the center caps so i didn't put the black rings! but i did keep them thank god! maybe that's all i need to do!

@KenLyns: Im not sure what the center bore is on the wheels (konig countersteers) but i am looking for that info right now. I did notice some black rings like those in your post in the packages with the wheels but i thought they were for the center caps for whatever reason, i didn't install the center caps so i didn't use the black rings, but now thanks to you i will try them and see if it changes anything!! Thanks a million!

The Countersteers have 108 mm bores. You are supposed to use the black rings when running without the center caps. The rings basically take up the thickness of the center caps.

@KenLyns: I installed the supplied rings that came with the wheels and the vibration has been cut down by alot! I think all thats left is just the normal vibration from the MT's! Thanks a bunch! I am wanting to get me some of the Gorilla Hub Rings you posted though, seems like a better brand. Need some more help, Ok you said my stock hubs are 106mm and the konig countersteers are 108mm center bore, so then i would need PN 108-1061, correct?

PN is 108-106.1, and it's recognized on Amazon.com, among other places. Beware the rings that came with my Countersteers look identical to the Gorilla rings, so no need to "upgrade". Doesn't hurt to keep a set of rings as backup, though, as they are not reusable: if you ever switch to hubcentric wheels (e.g. OEM wheels with snow tires), the rings will likely be destroyed when you pry them off the hub.

Awesome! I ordered me some from Amazon:D The ones that came with the wheels didn't have the notches on them like the gorilla ones nor did they say "gorilla" on them like it shows on their website. I might order me another set just to have as a spare. Thanks again I really appreciate all the help from you and the other guys that chimed in.
