    He lives in tornado alley like me. He's on the south end, i'm on the north end. There is the threat of tornadoes at least once a week.

    I've lived in Iowa for 32 years and i've never seen a tornado, yet we have something like 100+ every year. I'm not too worried.

    Been here 10 years and haven't seen a tornado either. I want to move though because I hate this area. I miss the NW where I am from and the beach.

    They happen fairly frequently, but they aren't EVERYWHERE. There is a reason storm chasers have a hard time finding them and getting in their way on purpose.

    No, tornado alley is from western texas up through Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa all the way up to Michigan. Northern Texas and OK get the most while Missouri usually gets the worst. We just get the tornado sirens for a high probability with the formation that is out.
