    Chillin in a 120!
I along with many others here on TW love the look of the etched TRD tip but do not want the noise. Unfortunately, the only way to obtain one is to find a person that has cut their's off and is willing to part with it!

I posted an ad as a "want to buy" in the 2nd gen for sale thread section and after bumping for awhile, NikonRon was nice enough to respond and tell me he had one for me. I asked what amount would he be happy to accept as payment for the tip as well as shipping and he told me not to worry about it....he would be offering me the deal of a lifetime! I thought "wow"!!! He asked for my name and address and would ship it out right away. On a friday he told me that it was shipped and I was so thankful.. I told him I would pay him even though it hadn't arrived yet! I asked for a paypal addy and he said he wasn't fond of paypal and to just send him a check. I sent it that day although the tip would not arrive for days. The gesture alone was worth a payment in my eyes. He stated that shipping cost $15 but never told me to pay a dime more. I sent a check for $35.

Week goes by and he sent me a message stating that he hasn't received a check yet. I could not believe that it was taking so long so I said wait till Monday (few days later) and if it still has not showed...I will send another.

Well it didn't show so another check went out last week. These are the two private messages I received from NikonRon tonight:

    5:45PM Today

    “Last chance
    ________________________________________
If I don't recieve a check this week I'll give you fair warning and tell you that I will drag your ass thru the mud right here on this forum. I think your a smoke blowing bull shitter and the only way to prove other wise is to do what you say your going to do. Believe me you don't want to mess around because I am a man of my word. I know where you are and what you drive. I have several friends in Denver and Boulder and I will get the job done. Ron”

    6:00PM Today

    “Re: about check!

Enough of the Bullshit, If I do not recieve a check this week you will have a very bad reputation on this forum, don't make me go there. You are very close to crossing the line with me, I am a man of my word. I have several friends in Denver and Boulder, I know where you are and what you drive. I won't tell you how I made my living. Ron”

Now the way I plan on responding to these messages is by messaging him the link to this post so I know he will read all of it. So now this post will be directed to him at this point!

Ron.....first you should never approach anyone aggressively like that because you will never truly know how they will respond nor what THEIR capabilities are! Second....I know what you did and maybe you should look me up and see what I do!! I hire people like you to wipe my ass for me! The painful part of this whole thing is that I was and still am EXTREMELY appreciative for what you have done for me and feel that I have done everything I should have up to this point! I have just been sending you checks! If you also have friends local and close to me...why wouldn't you have just put me in contact with them? Please figure out how you would like to resolve this as I would like you to receive monetary compensation for what you have provided for me but please keep in mind the next time you decide to speak to me with words that resemble what has already been spoken as well as the tone.....my dick is much bigger than yours. I promise you that and if you screw up one more time... I will bitch slap you with it so please come correctly next time. Sad part of all this is that you have every right to be upset and concerned.

P.S. - when one or both checks show up....I am demanding that you snap a pic of the post marked date and show everyone here

 Have you checked the bank to see if the checks have cleared? Maybe just cancel the checks and walk away from this deal.

(I assume you have verified that you have the correct address.)

All the more reason to trust but verify. Proof of delivery on both ends avoids stuff like this.
