Pioneer stage 4.. In a Tacoma dc!?

Hey guys. I have a 2012 dc long bed. I have a hook up with pioneer equipment and really wanted to make a stage 4 tacoma. But with an ms-8 to process it all.
I was going to have the 5.25 component set up front, with the 3" in the back for some rear fill, but wanted the 10" sub behind the seat.
Alas it is 7" mounting depth.
So I could have almost had an amazing complete pio s4 system. But that damn mounting depth. Can anyone help me out and say a miracle happens and they fit one? Lol
If not what's a good equivalent?

 

There is always a way to make it work... but it might mean making sacrifices you're not willing to make.

Maybe there's room if you fire them down? Maybe if you remove the guts of the rear seat? Maybe if you mount the rear seat a few inches forward? Maybe if you use the rear wall as part of the enclosure?

Also, why wouldn't you go with the 6.75" components up front?

At the very least you could go with the Stage 4 headunit. That thing is sweet! Do Stage 4 where you can and fill in the rest with other high end gear.

I am in the planning stages for my DC system and plan to use all Hybrid Audio Technology speakers including two tens. It will all fit nicely into the factory locations and the subs will fit behind the seats without modifying the child seat hooks. Mr. Marv is the man to ask if you want a sweet system done right.

 

I was going to keep my thoughts to myself but yeah, going with a 5.25 in the front when you can fit a larger set is leaving potential on the table.

The downfire idea is neat but I'm not sure there's enough space. There MIGHT be enough but it would be tricky. If you really want to gain some room back there use fiberglass. The wall of a fiberglass enclosure will be way thinner than wood. You'll gain about .5" of depth that way.

 

Well I didn't know if 1.25 inches jusitified $100 more. But I.guess I should. Hell if we r talking about sizes of speakers, ill throw an 8 inch midbass in the doors, use 4 inch midranges aand tweeters in the kickpanels, with a 10 or two behind the seats and have some small 5s in the rest doors as rear fill.
But I don't live in a perfect world LOL
