Annual Spring Mojave Run May 4-6, 2012

I think this time around we should stop by the dunes and just chill for a little bit.

 

I'm getting one but I don't think it will be here on time .

 

Unfortunately we can't drive on Kelso Dunes but we can hike. I'm fat and out of shape so hiking is not my thing but those who choose are free to hike. I know Kelso Depot is nice to see and they have an ice cream shop inside and clean restrooms.

Will, what kind of RC truck did you get?

 

I wired in the abs kill switch yesterday. Looking forward to seeing how that works. I still have to adjust my coilovers. At full droop, my uca's are making contact with the springs. They seem really hard to adjust as well, so im going to work on that tonight.

 

I'm bringing my RC trucks with me as well. Hopefully james brings his and we can have a great race. Hahahahaha

 

We can go to Kelso Depot I hope that is for Sat. I am about to get a used Axial exo.

Last time James took his RC remote but not his truck.

 

make sure you loosen the set screw in the preload spacer/collar if you have one. Otherwise you are fighting the collar friction caused by the set screw.

and droop out your suspension, that takes most of the spring tension out and isn't fighting you by pushing up.

i just learned all this last weekend, passing the knowledge along.

Thanks man. I was at full droop an set screw was backed off. The threads were oiled and clean. I was fighting the reservoirs and when I was trying it I didn't have the tools for the hose clamps. Tonight im going to remove them from the bracket and hopefully I can get in there.

 

X2 on the chillin.. I've got all the high speed whoop-smashing energy out of me from Lucerne.. Haha.

Gas spare parts. Bolts. Recovery crap lol

 

lights and batteries maybe? Ummm... gas cans!

 

spare parts loaded, gas cans will be before i head out, recovery strap is loaded!

 

hmmm should look into a flashlight and batteries
