Welp, had my pre-employment physical this morning, all set there. Brought the truck to the dealer to have the front end noise checked out. Both front wheel bearings are toast. Quote for replacement was $1400.00. For some reason, I bought the extended warranty when I got the truck, so it is covered.:) Now I need to find out what I need to do to prevent the new ones from going at 65000 more miles. I'm going to the suspension thread to look into it. Front is lifted 1.85" with Eibach coils. Rear has TSB.

Smart move Dave. it could be the lift causing the wear.

Inspect the old ones and see what the main issue for them failing was (bad seal/no grease/etc).

Mine got shot when the seals went bad and let the deluge of mud water I drive through in. So now I try to go into the mud less.

I doubt the lift has anything to do with it because a lift does not add any force to your wheel bearings or spindles. Also that milage is typical for bad wheel bearings. If anything a aftermarket wheel with a bad offset/bs or wheel spacers could hurt them quicker, but I doubt it would.

Well, she is done now. Getting her nails and toes did. She wanted me to come... no thanks. I like my toes being ugly. Part of me was thinking of going shooting for the day...

She has her own for stuff today. I have had 2 years of her spending my money already. redid the kitchen because it was old. Redid the floors because they were gross carpet (put bamboo in). Redid the upstairs bathroom because it was old. Mailbox, flower beds, back yard, painted the house again... well you get the idea. Oh, and all new appliances in the kitchen. Thankfully, I have plenty of money hidden she doesn't know about.

Thanks for the input. I guess I got lucky buying the extended warranty. The design must not be real great for these wheel bearings, 65,000 seems kind of low, but reading up on it seems pretty common for them to go around that mileage. My truck has pretty easy miles on it, very little off roading.
