some girl rear ended me at a light. She was goin around 10 mph i think. Pist me off. We pulled into a parking lot. If i didnt have a lift it would have messed up the bumper, she hit my trailer hitch and punched a perfect square hole in the bumper of her little honda. I was laughing the whole time. It did tweak the bumper a bit. The bumper is about a 1/4in higher on the right side but i should be able to adjust it hopefully. Dumb ass people

That sucks...Seems like these accident threads are more and more common.

I ended up driving over a 4-5 inch raised median today as an older gentleman did a no look left hand merge into my lane. Avoided contact and managed to not flip the fuck out. if he HAD hit me woulda been good for getting my passenger side pin stripes out.

Glad you fared well in it tho...Everyone is safe and unhurt- the rig can get worked out.

Yea im goin to get it looked at soon. I think it just tweaked the bracket. Shouldnt be anything major. Could have been worse for sure. People just need to get their heads out of their asses.

Yeah...I was thinking about that. It was a sloped drainage type divider...and it still drives fine.

I am planning on going to firestone in the near future to pay for the lifetime alignment....so when I get my lift they can hook me up.

I hope her parents get all sorts of in her ass....and take her keys. People who have multiple accidents and are regularly involved in them shouldn't be allowed to drive.

I know a kid from high school who's dad was loaded...and that kid got a brand new ford focus sport edition...and did about 2x the cars value in damage to other cars and property....And daddy paid for it all outta pocket....It's a shame.

yeah, get it checked. i got rear ended like you did.. not tooo hard, but when it got checked there was frame damage even though it looked like it was just a bit of a tweaked bumper. it was mostly becuase the person hit the trailer hitch. That hitch hooks directly to the frame. $3500 bill later, i have a new bumper, hitch, and frame work. still dealing with the insurance company now.

I always leave the draw bar inserted into the trailer hitch for just this reason. I was rear-ended recently also. The Honda Civic suffered a damaged bumper but nothing happened to my Taco.

It won't prevent from damage in the case of a high speed collision, but for the more common OOPS type low speed affair, it will protect you well.

Two friends with pickups were also saved recently by this.
