    Rain Visors,
Nope, I put in 90041, DC, 4.0L, 6-speed Manual, 4x4, short bed. When I get to trim only the SR5 package is available. Maybe I have cookies or something saved, just strange,

I was looking on ebay for that set up, and the only ones i found were west coast, arizona, ect. NOTHING in the east coast. I can get a DC, auto, Non TRD.

But I got rid of my first taco, and when i get my second i am getting EXACTLY what i want.

I may have to take a road trip for this one.

After dealing with the '06's 6-speed manual, are you sure you still want one? :D

Toyota's online configurator reportedly shows only vehicles currently available in your region. A road trip may be necessary, or talk your local dealer into doing a trade. Manuals account for only about 15% of sales, so it could be a matter of dealers ordering automatics from Toyota based simply on popular demand.

It was hard to configure on the site, so I called my salesman-
he said not to hard to get, just the color choice might be tough.

    Rain Visors,
I read how the auto's get better mileage, and they are pretty bullet proof, AND my wife can drive my vehicles. But there is something I love about shifting gears myself. My first car was a manual, and a bunch in between. There is just something nostalgic about it for me. And If I don't find one soon, car companies are just going to stop making them.

If I do end up settling for an Auto....I will probably get a LB, I love the wheelbase of the DC SB, just looks rugged. The DC LB is just so so long. but the extra storage is nice.

I have tape on the bed of my Chevy now, cutting it down to the size of the smaller bed on the DC SB, to see how often i REALLY need the extra space.

I have a 4x8 trailer that i move my toys on, and big home depot runs, or stone yard. In the bed is just usually a few bags of soil, some tools, and things of that nature.

    Rain Visors,

I know, which sucks. But my AC off Road, i used 4wd all the time, mostly snow, but only used locker once, when i had a plow pile up 4 ft of snow around me and too lazy to shovel. Got in, 4-Low, nothing, locker...right out.

So...i could survive with out it, I'm just setting up my "ideal" rig, and I like the DC SB OR and a 6 speed.

It's funny how things change, I used to like huge rigs, massive power, but with out using them, I just dont want them.

I want something that will easily fit my family. To go camping, exploring, hold all my gear and maybe tow a small camper trailer.

And my next truck is going to be my last truck purchase for probably 10 years, and the taco holds its value, incredibly, it boggles the mind.

    None yet.....
I can tell you that it is available because I have one sitting in my driveway.

I did have to order it like WhipperSnapper said, but I am in California and was able to do so.

this would've been my truck if they offered it.

after buying short bed I'm wishing i had ordered DCLB and just spend couple more for front and rear locker....better end result IMO.

I can't see how an extra 6 inches of bed space solves everyone's storage problem..

That extra space lets me "store" my 5'9" body in the bed. :D A shell and a Bedrug on a longbed = cabin.
