I have a couple of survival knives for sale with magnesium fire starters.

The knife blade is constructed from 440 stainless steel with a tanto point and serrated spine. Also comes with a magnesium rod fire starter that works even when wet. The sheath is tough green nylon with a belt loop.

Handle can be taken apart so you'll have a rope.

Perfect for hunting, fishing, or just keeping in your truck.

How thick is the steel these are made from ? Are they something you had made or something you bought ? Raw stainless or tempered ?

I bought a cheapy version of that on ebay a few years ago..even the cheap ones work well..

 

Not tempered, I'm just trying to help out a family friend with his inventory from his shop that close had to close up. Sorry I don't know the answer to your other questions.

Just wanted to update (sorry it took a couple days), I got in touch with the guy whose store it was and he is not sure how thick the steel is for these; it is something he did not have made up but rather purchased from inventory. I believe I had already mentioned they are not tempered.

As of right now I have 4 left to move for him, he will be checking over the weekend for anything else, I'm going to be trying tp help him organize things tomorrow most likely; he's a got a mess spreading from his house and his son's with all this inventory, so if anyone has anything in mind feel free to mention it.

Thanks to all that have purchased so far, I just hate to see a nice guy lose his shop and be in the hole.
