Just a guess but I am thinking all 2nd generation stalks will fit ..... it is a plug and play ...... I had one in an '06 ..... gave it to a dude with an '09 when I got my '10.

I'm that dude :D it works great, I think I also read somewhere here that the stalk is the same as the Camry (not sure what year Camry) but the one for the Camry you can find it cheaper than for the Taco.

^ It mentions something about the part number and what will work even though the dealer says nothing will.

Just curious, is intermittent wipers not standard, for some reason I thought the government mandated for safety purposes?

I could be pulling this from my a$$, but I just didn't know they still make cars without it.

    Rubber floor mats...lol Intermittent wipers
I agree! Intermittent wipers should be standard on vehicles. I am very surprised that The 2012 regular cabs do not have at least a few goodies as options. e.g. intermittent wipers, power window, power locks and cruise.:annoyed:

thought they were int but not adj int...coulda swore the base 05 prerunner had it like that. 08 sr5 already had adj int so left it in the 05 and just took the cc before trading it in.

Didn't know there was any other kind.

All I've seen in 40 years is 2-speed, or intermittent with selectable rate (basically anything from 5 to 7 speed depending on the manufacturer).

It would be kinda dumb to make a 3-speed... only one intermittent.

me neither haha just thought you were confused by the abbreviations on his post, I had to read it twice, still don't know what cc means

I really don't mind that it didn't include power windows, power locks or cruise control, but yes intermittent wipers should not be optional anymore .....

Surprised the fuck out of me that I didn't have them.

My '94 5-lug was pretty spartan, but I'm pretty sure it had them.
Funny, it was an SR5 and my '08 is a Base. No real difference except the '94 had a vinyl headliner, rear slider, chrome bumpers, chrome grille, and 5-speed behind the 22RE.

You would think that anti-lock brakes would be government mandated as well. I bought a new 2007 Chevy Malibu in 2007 and never even thought about the brakes until the first time someone pulled out in front of me on dry pavement and the wheels locked up. Went online to research it and sure enough, no anti-lock brakes on some of the Malibus. The 2nd time someone pulled out in front of me on damp pavement and the car didn't survive, which is why I now drive a 2012 Tacoma. :D
