So I noticed I was seeping some oil around my valve cover gaskets and so I decided to look up the torque specs and re torque them and in doing so I noticed that a few of them were almost hand loose. I could turn them with just the extension and socket so I torqued them down and on my last one near the oil fill port, I heard a very small pop and it cracked my head cover at about 8 lbs of torque. Metal Fatigued? I think so. Well I don't really feel like Ghetto JB Welding it even though I am not losing any oil or anything but it just sucks to work on your truck for days on day after you get it just to make sure that it is good to go then something fluke like this happens. I can't find a place to get a valve cover. I can only find valve cover gaskets. Any help would be great.

I tried Rockauto and they don't carry the valve cover itself. And I wasn't sure if I could get a stock one from an online source for much cheaper than the powder coated one.

Looks like I will just JB it until I find a deal or once I pony up the $300 for the ICE performance ones.

per side though are they not? I will call to verify. Well those ones that you posted were for a 2rz/3rz and I have a 5rz v6 so that would be the problem.

I did that a few weeks ago Robert. Biggest project for me... It was a bear!! But very satisfying. Everything is good and the truck runs better than ever.

Swapped the spark plugs, wires, PCV, cleaned MAF and TB while I was at it.

What side is it? I have a passenger side head. I'd sell the valve cover. Came off my old 2001 3.4 motor that i hydrolocked.
