    If nothing else put a lock right in the rear when you regear. Most shops won't charge you to install it at regear time since they have to put either the locker in or your spider gears.

    Well worth the money IMO. That's what I had on my regular cab. Helps keep the truck beating down somewhat when trying to get over stuff.

E-Locker, budget CAI and exhaust, Warn Powerstation, Addicted Off Road bumper, ToyTec OME w/AAL lift, aftermarket stereo w/10 inch subwoofer (only cool when you realize how I fit it in a reg cab truck), dual lexus horns, roll bar, off road lights, CB radio, Powertrax Lock Right locker (front diff), ejecto seat, laser/phaser/ion ray gun, oil slick, heat seaking missles...
    Woah there buddy. Try searching craigslist for a used Toyota E-Locker and housing first. If you can find the whole axle w/shafts for $500 or less BUY IT and sell your original axle. This is what I did (got the whole axle for $300 and actually sold my factory axle w open diff for $350 hehe). I have a Lock Right in the front (love it btw, esp with being able to disconnect at the hubs when not in use). After having one in the front and reading all the horror stories of having them in the rear I'd never use one back there. ESPECIALLY if you ever drive snowy roads. That and they use the factory carrier which isn't the strongest in the world due to it only being made for open diff use. AND the Powertrax warranty gets sketchy when using large tires such as 35"s. The E-Locker will be stronger and out of a V-6. Just my $0.02. Now if you live in dry climates or can be VERY easy on the throttle (aka coast) every time you corner on snow it might, might work to have a L.R. locker in the back.

    Never had an issue with the lock right in my reg cab on 35's. Then again I live in Arizona so I don't know what this "snow" stuff is you speak of :D haha

    Most stories I read on LR was people running bigger than a 35 grenading them. Then again depends on your wheeling style and area too.

    Swapping to an elocker would def be my first choice. Love it in my DC

    Arb would be stronger but will cost you more.

    I beg to differ. The carrier (the cage that houses the spider gears and has the ring gear bolted to it) is weaker when housing a lunch-box style locker (as in the Lock Right) than the E Locker that is made for it, or a locker such as an ARB that has its own carrier and does not reuse the factory one. ALSO what I found during my research when I originally contemplated this (see here http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/diffs/#T100-Tundra ) is the 8.4" you speak of is actually an 8", be it stronger than the old 8", but an 8" none the less.

    Furthermore I doubt most shops would pull the spiders and install the LR for free as I believe they don't have to touch the spiders for a re-gear job.
