Wait till you take it off road and see how it goes. I'm going to use some turnbuckles and steel cable on mine.

i think its kinda cool actually how its white. Just makes your truck real different.

And heck ya use the thing! I seriously think adding a basket would be sweet tho. Then doing the shovel, axe and hilift on the sides

i think im going to come up with a custom made canvas covering setup for my bed rack to have kinda a soft topper type thing going..

well you also have to remember were they are located..they get hit with rocks all the time. So you have to keep em touched up.

My bumper has chips in it i need to fill. they are getting surface rust

Hey Mark when you replaced your springs on your coilovers, did you use a pickle fork to pry those bj's apart for more room? If you did, that is probably what tore your boot and pushed all the grease out. When I replaced my UCA's, that pickle fork utterly raped the bj's on the stock UCA's. I had grease all over everything that got pushed out of the bj's and the boots were torn and some edges on the bj's started to bend.

Take it to a shop and they can have it back to you the same day. Costs a ton though. I got new Moog UBJ's and LBJ's from rockauto.com ($200) and then had a local shop put them in. Fours hours and $300 labor later I was back on the road.

Some jobs just aren't worth doing yourself IMO

So $500 to do all 4 bj's? So it might be about $250 for Mark to do just the uppers. That might push his budget tight, based on what he said earlier.

Actually uppers ran about $40 each, lowers were about $70. Not sure about how to break down the labor charges.

I didnt seperate the spindle and UCA. I tried, a la adams beat the fuck out of t method, and some where in there that could have happened. But the grease looks really fresh. its still has its light brown color. Im hoping I can just replace the boot like chris said somehow.
correct. that would take a bout half out of my oh shit money and make it very tight.

also it is the passenger side, which was the side that I got done with in a total of an hour, and I didnt put any work into. I didnt even touch the bj on that side when I was doing the lift. So it had to be after, and it just ripped on its own. If i can just get the puller from autozone and seperate the bj from the spindle I should be good just to put a new boot on it, because that appears to be the only issue.

I wiped some of the bj grease off of my brake line yesterday from when I did my install and it still looked pretty fresh too, granted I haven't taken it on any dirt roads or anything yet. Yeah I would start with the boot approach like Chris said.

Maybe. I think 4.56 would be nice. My taco is my offroading rig and not my DD and I see the extra torque coming in handy. I don't know that I want to shell out that much money yet though... Pretty sure this is not a DIY job for me. haha. I just found the 4.56 for the front diff for almost half price from metaltech4x4.

I'm looking at about $400 for just the new gears; plus I'm sure there will be the install kits and such; plus labor...
