Well the MPG thing is debatable. After looking through tons of threads I never saw any actual evidence of getting noticeably better MPG with 255's than you would with 285's. I am not scared of trimming at all, but not having to get wheel spacers would be nice because that will be less stress on wheel bearings. The KM2's are also about $200 less than the MTZ's and I can get the KM2's at Discount Tire so I can get the lifetime warranty thing I keep hearing about.

The MPG difference I had was with MTZ 33x12.5 getting a steady 2mpg worse than the pizza cutters. (ultragauge and old school math). But the only reason I am going to the 35" MTZ is they are 11.5" wide not 12.5". They are the only ones that do this:D

    Fair enough.

Looks like I'll be throwing on some pizza cutter (well that is my decision now I'm sure it will change tomorrow lol). But I can't decide to do full skids or tires first. Both will cost about the same amount of money.

Well I never got around to getting skids on the Taco but I really wish I had. Same month ATO had a group buy going I total my truck. Fantastic. Well since I will not be lifting her for a while, skids will probably be a better investment to do first than tires. God why can't I just have the money to do everything at one time!!!

Although I know I won't appreciate everything as much if I did have a ton of money.

I have 285 km2's but will be going with the 255 next. I figure try them both then decide what to stick with. As far as skids, I would wait. If your wheeling on trails where skids are needed, you should already have a lift and tires, IMO.

Meh not necessarily. What about that one time you slip off a rock and come down hard on, lets say your tcase. Well the skids have just paid for themselves. IMO, going with that same logic, people don't really need sliders then either.

I disagree. Do as you wish as it is your rig, just my humble opinion. I have wheeled for many years and see rigs go where they are not equipped properly. That is where damage can occur. Shit happens but you can minimize it by modding accordingly. Nothing is wrong with getting the skids, I love having mines. If your playin where rocks are big enough to damage your t case and such, again you should already have lift, tires. ect. As far as sliders are concerned, they will be inline where your wheels go. You put your wheels on the highest point when wheeling, so sliders will help when you drop off when the front wheel rolls over said rock or obstacle. You also would use said sliders to pivot. My first mod was sliders. They both offer protection, yes but how they are utilized on the trail are two different things. Not telling you what to do, just trying to provide useful info, cheers.
