for those guys who notched the headliner to accept the plastic piece, could you have just trimmer the plastic piece to avoid cutting the headliner? I am a bit hesitant to cut the liner.

Don't cut the headliner. The plastic piece comes off of the mirror and the wiring tucks up under the headliner.

No trimming required. Having the mirror this high hides the fact there is a wire there. Thus, eliminating the need for plastic covers.

    Clazzio seat covers,
Let me tell you about ImMrYo ... aka ... Jerry.

I was one of the first on board with this. A fantastic piece of machined metal.

Sent to me with the trust that I would return the $$$ in a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Looks as if if came from some high end aftermarket dealer.

Received an email warning me of overtightening due to one member cracking his windshield with the option of returning the piece.

Received another email saying that I could be expecting in the mail the 2nd generation of this piece. This one is curved to better fit the contour of the windshield. Said that if I wanted to change out the 1st one for a 2nd curved piece that was good for Jerry.

Received 2nd generation with a self-addressed stamped envelope to return the 1st one.

For the life of me this guy is out of this world.

We need to see Jerry on Shark Tank to go mass production with this and other ideas.

    Clazzio seat covers,

I am anal-retentive as hell ...... I used the top cover to cover the wires, knowing I couldn't see them from where I sat but what the hell.

ImMrYo ... aka ... Jerry. Pm'd me yesterday. Can't wait to receive mine.
I'm sick of looking under the mirror to see if anything is coming from my left side.

Received Version 1.1 from Jerry yesterday. Subtle change from Version 1.0, but follows contour of windshield better and just seems more solid. I was happy with Version 1.0--overjoyed with Version 1.1. And no, you do not have to notch the headliner. Just remove all plastic trim from mirror, route wire bundle and connector to passenger side of mirror, and stuff it up behind the headliner. You don't even notice the wire bundle. Hat's off to Jerry for a fine product and all of his hard work!!!!!!!

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
That head liner is too damn expensive to be cutting up. Just had an estimate for it, you would think a couple hundred would be reasonable to on the high side, boy was I wrong.

Got mine today and the check is going out tomorrow.

    I've got a quick question:

It was getting dark, so I didn't get a chance to put it in.
I have a 2011 with just a plain old mirror - no wires or connectors. I also don't have a set-screw to remove it. I'm assuming post #74 in this thread is exactly what I have to do??

It says: "The 2005 has a plain rearview mirror that has a plastic clip holding it on behind the cover. Just pull down on the cover to get access to the clip. Behind the clip you will notice the metal bracket glued to the window has a notch in it"

When it says to "pull down on the cover", what exactly are you supposed to do?? Pull it towards me or down towards the dash??

    Any help's appreciated....
