I was just wondering if I'm the only one who works on a farm. We grow tabacco, soy bean, corn, peanuts, cotton, & wheat.

If they did it the legal way they wouldn't have turned down your help. It cost 1500 just to dring them over here, then you gotta give them a place to stay, pay all their bills, give them a car to drive and pay for the gas and on top of that pay them $10/hour

hell yeah, i even offered to work for minimum wage, it was explained to me that they buy the immigrants in group rates, like theyll get 10 of them and pay them 50 bucks an hour so it comes down to 5 bucks an hour per person and since they all live with eachother they can live off it

I manage a 3,000 acre farming business of Citrus with a scattering of Peaches with Toyotas running around all over the place.

And by the way tractors only come in green, anything else is pure rumor...

I have 4000 acres in South Africa. We have diesel Hilux and Land Cruisers there, but I don't have any pictures here on my work computer.
A few of the tractors: (Green tractors are over rated)

I don't have Land Cruizer pictures here, but this is what they look like - like the FJ's but with a bed.
There are many of these with 1,000,000 miles plus and still going strong.

Current generation. Also great, but just not the same as the old ones.

Unfortunately things are not going so well there right now, which is why am here in the States. Farm murders, theft, racial hate, government taking farms away, etc. but that's another story for another thread.....

    Ferdie,

Great pictures, look like future farmers for sure. I have worked with a few people over the years who had to leave Zimbabwe because of the reasons you stated above, sorry to hear it has affected your area as well. Everyone I have had the pleasure of working with from that area are great farmers and know how to laugh and have a good time.

    Good luck...
