Good for him for being self sufficient without money, begging or government programs. Personally, I don't think I'd last very long in his shoes

Pfft... I saw about 4-5 of guys just like home the other day... They are called homeless street people. The only difference is that he chooses this life in the free pursuit of some ridiculous pseudo-religious ideology.

    Get a job bum!

While I don't think I could live the way this guy does, I also don't think he's a bum. He's making a conscious decision to live free of money and does not receive any government hand outs. I say good for him!

Most homeless people have metal issues. Not too many sane people choose to live on the streets.

When this guy needs medical care who pays for his er visit?

or maybe someone will just need to dig a hole for him?

Hell he might live to be 110yo and have better health then any of us. No electronics to radiate him, no genetically engineered food, and he isn't surrounded by toxic chemicals.

The real question is when he can't catch and forge for his own food what happens?

Like the Hindu Sadhus of which he speaks, people bring him food and clothing. He lives without money. But not without relationship. That is the power of his message.

Isn't that kinda like being a mooch though? I don't know about you but I would feel super guilty if people felt the need to bring me food and clothing.

Even if we have to pay for his medical if/when he needs it, he still doesn't cost as much as the actual bums. I aslo don't feel the need to help him because he's not asking for it. Now I have been known to help out my friends in need that didn't ask for help. If your willing to help him then do so but as he says don't expect anything in return, just like he doesn't expect help.

The power of his message is to have others toil and deal with tainted money so they can support him with "gifts" that they purchase? Sounds like flawed logic to me.

If he wants to be self dependent then do so by buying land and planting sustainable crops.

I never liked the Hindu Sadhus or the support system they rely on nor do I like this guys support system if what you say is true.

He is a moocher plain and simple. He can help himself but chooses not to. Seems weak to me. He could be giving back to others but chooses to take instead.

    This

At least most bums have mental issues. This guy chooses to be a burden on society by not contributing to it. When he is 85 years old and needs medical treatment or any sort of care who pays for it? If your not contributing to society your a burden - thats a fact not fiction or opinion.
