    DO IT! Having a low squatty truck on some fat tires that (in your case) would make every fake boy racer in his civic look like they are standing still would be SO much fun!     ever hear the expression "it looks good from far but its far from good"? lol

    theres just a bunch of small things i need to take care of. had 2 people run into it one in 2010 and one in 2011. both at the drivers side tail light. one below it and one above it. broke my red and clears both times.

    need to finish my fuse box relocation. and want to add an intercooler.

    you guys make me want to work on it lol truth is it's kinda been on the back burner the passed 2 years. had one of my best friends pass away in 2010 and i lost a lot of motivation to work on cars. in 2011 i started renting a house so money was tight. and now in 2012 i just bought a house lol. now saving for my wedding next year.

    hopefully i can scrape up some cash to start doin it up again.

    I'm thinking like a 3 or 4 inch drop? BJ flip and maybe '69 camaro QA1 coilovers. Not exactly sure what to do with the rear. 4x4 springs minus overload? What do I need to do about shocks in the rear?

    you dont remove the the overload you remove one of the leafs from the pack. you flip the over load to the "unhappy" position so allow the truck to drop more.

    i run toxic shocks for a mazda b series shock in the back.

    im lowerd about 8/9 lol

    those shocks would still work for you. if not those then get kyb monomax shocks for the tacoma.

    if you only want a 3/4 drop you wont need to do a bj flip with the qa1's just turn down the collars and drop it down 3 inches. for the rear you can run the 4x4 leafs and like a 1 inch block. should make for a nice all around ride.

    apparently dmonkey says the overload on 01-04 leafs is flat so you wont need to flip it lol

    for 01+ you take the 4x4 leafs, remove the middle leaf and put your 5 lug overload on the 4x4 leafs
