looks good. but the only thing I would worry about is the smell when the truck sits in the sun.
I painted a small electronic compass/altimeter/temp gauge and when it heated up the truck smelt like paint.

Not personally but i can vouch for them, seen one in person:cool: Pretty badass if i do say so myself...as for cheaper than lockers. How you figure that up??
When i priced it, iirc it was something like $2500

Anyway, today i got some donor leafs for my re-build finally. its only taken me like 10 months to finally get them

I was close, still not cheaper than lockers unless your planning to run ARB lockers. I knew i looked a while back at them after i saw the sqautches in action..

I can tell you one thing though, deffinatly go with the 4:70:1

Yea well you have to get the drive shafts cut and lengthened.

which is about 200-300 i have read. I can get a crawl box for about 1700.

so basically a 2k or so project.

ARB lockers alone are almost 2k, plus the CO2 setup id need, and im not putting lockers in without re gearing so thats another what..500-700?

so its 3kish for lockers F/R

and! as a bonus..kinda..i keep the 4.10 gear ratio for hwy driving so id get great mpg getting to places.

and i figure the like 8.something:1 ration the 2.7 crawl box would give me would be much better then lockers anyways..

You can get it cheaper if you do some work yourself. Buy the adapter plates, get a junk yard gear driven t case, get the 4.7 gears and put it all together. I priced it out a couple weeks ago and found a t case for 100 bucks and it was around 1300. That was just for shits and giggles...wish I had the money. :(

Then you need to factor in the other expenses. new gear oil. Good shit aint cheap, and you should go with the best with a dual set up. at least your one stick for the extra case you have, if not triple stick set up. Then having a shop shorten your rear and lengthen your front driveshaft speedometer reader extension...I feel like i am forgetting something.

    other sensors and wiring too.

its not an easy thing to do no doubt..

but i feel like it would be more useful. I mean with a locker your still gonna have to "bump" over some stuff and what not.

this will let ya crawl right over it.

im not saying it would replace a locker cause it won't help you get un stuck. but i think it'll help more with preventing getting stuck.

I'm not so sure how much better just a crawl box would be compared to lockers. IMO they should go hand in hand. You get your crazy stupid low gearing from the crawl box for ultimate control, but that still doesn't help when you have a front and rear tire stuffed and only 2 tires are getting any power because of open diffs.

    Valid concern.

However it's all cured, has been sitting in the sun all day and don't have a scent at all. Same went for the console/cup holder, shifter boots and trim.

The worst was the off gassing from the shifter knob I bought from China. Even after months in the garage it stunk for weeks in the truck

very true. I just want ALL OF IT :D someday haha but none of the trees in my backyard have money growing so I have a long while to wait.

I've decided on going new gears and front aussie locker to compliment my rear e locker. Then after some new rubber I plan on crawl box. But to each his own. it would be cool to have two similar tacos running a trail. One set up with lockers and gears and the other a crawl box... who will get stuck most or be unable to get through stuff

Thanks man...it could look a lot better to be truthful.

But it was a $8 mod at the end of my hands :)

    yea would be interesting..

im gonna do more research before i commit tho.

plus if i find a local e locker axle to swap in thats cheap, ill do it haha

you should get manual hubs too if you going to run a fully locked front diff. otherwise shit could hit the fan pretty quick.

I've thought that. But after a lot of research and PM's to people running the same setup as what I want on ADD on TTORA i've decided I'm gonna go for it without doing the swap for now. Mostly just people that gas and go with no finesse are the ones that break anything besides cv's. I am pretty light with the skinny pedal and not to concerned about breaking CV's. I've got a few spares, and lifetime warrantys from Oriellys

I think the locker would get farther. After adding my front locker iv been thrilled with it lol. well Minus the turning radius of the titanic.

thats why i added stupid big hoops on the rear end lol. I got really stuck on a tight turn and couldnt manage to make headway. After 30 or so points i had to put a ratchet strap on a tree to use as a pivot point. Now i can just scrap it.

So im contemplating trading my Cragar soft 8's 15x8 for my friends 15x10's with rock rings. He got them with his zuk and hates them because they have toyota logos cut into them. Im not sure if the rock rings are worth going up to a wider rim. I havent lost a bead with my 12.50s yet. But with my 10.50s on a 7 i lost one every other trip or so. Hmmm
