Yea parts of it were stolen from his but i added and changed and came up with some totally different things today, so it will be one off when its done especially the way the side protection is connected up, plus ill be adding the D ring mounts too. Like i said above i think ill go with the rounded caps over the pointed ones or just plain flat ones

Nice build man. Probably a good call not going with those pointy caps. I feel like i'd get stabbed by those all the time if they were on my truck

Mines just the average taco build. Haha seams like all of us have nearly the same truck, just minor variations, mostly in the brands of armor and suspension we use but it all has the same end result

    Are those Chevys?

Edit: I really like how your side protection goes up, very nice

Thanks man, i was really hoping it would have been done this week but i dont mind waiting! all thats left is the hitch, D-ring mounts and end caps.. should all be here monday though!

Almost got the chevies off a 2wd suburban but went with the 4x4 dakota's since they were a little thinner and should yeild a somewhat smoother ride once everything is cut down to size!

I actually wasnt to fond of the way it looked coming up like that and originally he had it higher than that but i thought it looked goofy as hell so i cut it down shorter and its much better now!

Hell yea, i wanted the rectangular tube but they talked me into the channel plus its thick as fuck so it should take a beating pretty well!

    Thanks!

Looks good! The side protection makes it match with the kick outs on the sliders. :D

That was the plan, and actually the side protections slightly kick out as well about an inch past the flares and match the main outside tube of the slider perfectly

    Thanks man, means alot!

Yea man just got word that the plasma made it in so dont know if i will go in tomorrow or tuesday. The paint will probably hold off till i can come across some raptor liner so im not just sanding off rattle can when i goto do that, license plate will just go on the tailgate, maybe french it in not sure yet but probably not... I did get my leafs springs on today and holy crap, let me tell you man they ride soooo good compared to that shitty "aal" i had before with the same amoutn of lift... sittin at 39 1/2 in the rear and 38 1/4 in the front so just over an inch rear rake!

Ended up with a 5 leaf pack, 3 of my stock ones and 2 off a 2ooo dakota, similar in thickness maybe only 1/16 difference so they matched about perfectly, and some new center pics and i was golden! Now just gotta go in when the bumper is finished and add in a new cross member for shock mounts /\
