Yeah ive considered trying to do the leadville 100 for years. I just dont think i have the stamina to do that kind of race. I worked on the documentary both years for the leadville 100 and had been telling myself one day, one day. But 100 miles in a day is nutty!!! and think about the tour riders riding 130 miles average daily for a month. NO THANKS:D

    What race are you doing?

One of my buddies does the Ragbrai across Iowa almost every year. You definitely don't want to do that on a single speed....

if i were a hipster id ride a fixie, mine is a super cheap single speed for commuting only. It crushes my mountain bike as far as speed goes.

It just so happens to look good too.

I like it. I was looking at one like that till i made my own because the cheapest I could find was $300. That's not cheap for a drunk bike haha.

I did the triple bypass in 2010 and it was a killer ride. Three mountain passes, 125 miles, and 10,000+ feet in elevation gain. It took 9 hours in the saddle to do though.

I would say do the triple as a warm up ride for the leadville.

Thanks man!!! thanks all, i love this bike. custom rasta tape and all, it did run me around 300 and then i added a better crank and seat to it, along with the specialized pro tires. Its probably worth around $400. Cheap compaired to my downhill bike though, which is a specialized demo

I say give BDM a call and talk to Brian. Tell him what you want it to sound like and he will tell you what he can do.
