why the hell can i not get better than 19.5 mpg???? i run 89 octane all the time. i don't over rev in a gear, worst is 45 mph in 4th for example. 75-80 on highway. should i drop to 87?? i thought i was driving like an a-hole, so i tamed it down a bit, same mileage. Not that it should make a difference, but truck has 11.5k on it now, bought in sept of 09

    87 octane is fine.
Need to start slowly, and don't drive over 65-70 on the highway.
Check your tire pressure as well. Higher tire pressure = less rolling resistance.
Full synthetic fluids throughout also help.

189,000 now, and still on the original rear brake pads. Very thin but still usable. It will get new pads soon this summer regardless.

The front pads went about 175K before replace, so with all this it kinda gives you a idea of brake proportioning front to back.

Recently replaced the oem springs and shocks with Old man Emu stuff and Billies. the oem replacement Billies that I installed many months ago I think are about had, so we will do some research and bump the shock replacement up.

I wonder how they determined who got $$ and who got a frame replacement ? I had a 2000 and they gave me one and a half X book which I used to buy a 2008 new.
