As many of you know, CA's sales tax is going up by 1 whole percent at midnight. :(
    This sucks.

I'm especially screwed because I still haven't bought my truck yet. Guess Yota will have to take that extra 1% out of the sticker price. :D

Who hates this shit as much as me?

Just live with it? We gotta stick it to the man, man!!! lol

I mean 9.25 isn't too much more than 8.25% right? That's only...10.925 bucks for something that was 10.825 before. So a penny? But once into trucks and stuff...it gets to be a lot. $276.99 for my future truck to be exact. :p

I seem to remember hearing the sales tax on new vehicles purchased after Feb 16th is tax deductable, something to do with the stimulus/bailout

    Too few to list.
I have just recently bought mine and the dealer used the wrong county tax and made the payments about $3 more monthly. Not really a big difference since your payments are gonna be in the hundreds but I know, it still sucks. We'll definitely feel the dmv fees that are gonna increase also. I heard double?

yup, if you buy a new vehicle in 2009, you can write off ALL of the sales tax and excise tax on your 2009 tax return. on a $30k truck, thats about $3k you can write off (for california).
