Here is an extremely healthy rainbow from this February. Note how inadequate the net is... That is a good enough description for its dimensions. Fooled him with a bead egg.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Catfish I caught on Saturday. We were out for 10 hours and that's all we have to show. We figured 8-10lb. That is my cousin in the pic, I really didn't care to take one, but he was all for it. Really a nice day over all, despite the lack of fish.

This is another Steelie I caught in the creek by my house. Different spot but same result. Smaller than the first but still made me smile. I am finding out that if they don't hit quick, they aren't gonna. This one and the one yesterday hit within 15 minutes of walking up. Both on a silver/orange spoon. Nothing after that... DEC Officer that stopped yesterday was very surprised I was still catching them. Still haven't eaten one, but I will. This last guy was small, so I decided to send him back.

You guys are killin me. I haven't really been able to get in the water much lately. They have been doing some work to the dam the river feeds out of. They were done and were letting the lake fill back up, then they noticed some movement and a slight crack on the back side of the dam. SSSOOOO...They pulled more water out of the lake and now the generation schedule is REALLY screwed up while they're trying to leave the lake at a certain level. Thinkin about buyin a john boat with a little motor that way I can go whether they're generating or not.

I love mine, I have a 10-11' big enough for 3 people if need be, but small enough that I can put it in the Tacoma bed by myself for transporting. I opted for a 55lb Minn-Kota as many small ponds around here are non-combustion engines only, but either way, these little boats rock. I love that I can just drop it in the water basically anywhere.

The plan for this weekend was to go Striped Bass fishing in the Bay, but I got reports of Tuna hitting pretty good offshore yesterday. So the plan has changed to head about 80 miles offshore and try for some tuna. Hopefully I will have pictures to add on Monday.

Not from up there but I have been fishing with Rapala's up there every year for trout. :D Big fish aren't going to waste their energy on a small meal.
