transmission oil leaks

    what's up everyone i am new to this forum. i dont know if i posted this question in the correct topic. my truck running good all day long underway home the truck loss power and heard a hissing sound when press the gas pedal until the completely loss power. oil leaking under the truck, so i have it tow when i get home i start the truck to see where the leaks coming from the leaks coming from between the transmission and engine housing, beffore i take it apart i would like to makesure i assume the oil seal is there anyone experience this issue.

    Never had that problem, but it sounds like if it is engine oil you have a rear main seal bad. Just did one on a hmmwv and it was not too bad. But I also am a mechanic, I did not experience any hissing sounds or loss of power.

    thank you, eventually i didnt lost any engine oil. i lost my transmission oil.

    Well then it could be your tranny pump seal, I didnt look if your auto or manual. Either way it is a seal that should be rather easy to drop and replace in a day.
