I saw on other sites, those that have this dreaded hum/vibration at certain speeds with ~ 3" lifts... anybody find a cure? Is this indeed hit or miss... some get it with vibration, others drive happy and no issues? I really wanna lift this... prob 5100's and the tsb...
    Any thoughts... experiences... thanks!

dont get the OME 885 or 884.. i had my 885 on for less then a year and they sag.. its 2 inch lower in the front than the rear. ... i had to go out and get the 5100 to fix it....

my driveline vibration.. aka the 10mph rumble is gone i had it.. i think after i change the gear oil it went away..

other then that the truck drives the same. flated toytec 885/topplate and AAL..

i have the toytec 3" spacer block up front and the AAL in the rear.... when i first put in the AAL it seemed kinda rough to me, but think the road i drove on the day after the lift is not a well maintained road, so that had something to do with..... now, all is right with the world :D

truck is of course a little stiffer, but rides great to me. when i drive my company car or my wifes suv i feel like i'm cheating on my tacoma :(

i had some allignment issues, and according to the shop that did it, my allignment is not totally in spec. the part of the allignment that wears your tires evenly, so thay don't sit like / or \ but like | well that part is good, but the part that keeps you driving in a straight line is out of spec.... they told me to drive it and see how it handled, and it handles fine to me..... because of the way roads are shapped sloped downward to the median, it always pulls a little, but nothing major.

I have a Revtek 3 inch lift. The truck now drives better then stock and looks much better as well. The handling is great.

I have the 3" EZ lift leveling kit and it rides good with correct tires like all terrains. The only think that makes mine ride out of normal is the nobby BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains but I like them.

I will be doing exactly that next week. Already have the rear leaf spring TSB done and have a set of 5100's on order. Will set them at 1.75", and don't really expect any vibrations (keeping my fingers crossed!). Of course that's not a 3" lift.

    I also ordered a set of MB predators 16x8 with 265/75R16 BFG AT's. Can't wait ....

Only regret I have is not going with OME coils and shocks up front and Dakar's in the rear. But, I wanted a lift NOW to fix the bottoming out issue and get some better ground clearance. I figured I'd be upgrading later on once I decided what to go with so I did a $200 Toytec spacer/AAL lift for now. Cheap, easy, and does the job until I can afford something better so it's not really a regret I suppose. It would only be a regret if I could have afforded all that 2 years ago! :D

Oh, and I had none of the vibrations other people mention, and it was the first time I'd ever done suspension work.

FREAKIN love my 3" Toytec 885 with AAL's. A year and a half and not a bit of sag! And I tested it too. And with this lift its easy to go back to stock if you ever have to.
