Yea, I have been thinking back of all the things that dog has done. He has done more than most people. In Japan he used to go to the race track at Fuji and Motegi speedway. He was our mascot when we raced motorcycles there.

Then I used to take him with my to Club PURE in Yokohama when I worked security there, he would work the door with me and mingle on the dance floor when we went down. He was well known at the place too, all the ladies loved him. He loved the ladies and he helped me pick up more Japanese women at the club, around town, and on the beach by my house. I couldn't have pulled 1/10th the ass if it wasn't for that dog, he was the true ladies man.

He used to go swimming with me in Hawaii when I used to go spear fishing in Kaneohe Bay Hawaii and used to go deep sea fishing with me and friends on the the boats. I also used to throw a back pack on him and we would go up to the north shore and he would run after me as I rode my dirt bike. Then we would go hiking with friends and there dogs all over Hawaii.

When lived Washington he use to go duck hunting with me, road trips, camping trips, he loved kids like no other, and was everyone's favorite. He never had any official hunting training but the first 3 times we went out he showed up younger "professionally trained" $1500 hunting dogs. He was a complete natural if there ever was one. He would ride shotgun in my truck, often curling up in the passenger seat and laying his head across my shifting arm or on my leg. If he was in the back he would sit and put his head on my shoulder until he layed down and went to sleep.

His second favorite thing to do was fetch golf balls. He would run himself to exhaustion if doing it if I let him. This dog didn't have a mean bone in his body. He caught a live chicken one time in Hawaii and came prancing up to me with this chicken kicking and screaming. He dropped it at my feet and then looked at me like "HEY, Why did you let that bird I brought you get away!" when it ran off.

I couldn't have asked for a better dog. No matter how long I was gone from home he was as excited as ever. It killed me every time I had to leave him because he would have gladly gone with me everywhere. When I came back from Iraq the first time and had some serious adjustment issues he was the one that helped straighten me out. If he didn't have anything to worry about why should I. If I was having problem he would know and he would calm me down.

Thank you all for the kind words. I really do appreciate it. I don't have any kids (that I know of) and he was the closest thing I have had to kids or a family as I have traveled the world. I just wish I could have been there.

I am pretty torn up about the whole thing, especially when I saw the 26 pictures the vet sent me. I have never seen so many bites before. My neighbor and the dogs had better be gone when I get home, because there will be hell to pay to say the least.

    Again, thanks everyone.

My condolences on your loss. I am dreading the day something happens to my black lab, so I can understand your pain (we don't have kids either) our dogs are the replacement for that. Keep your head up man it will get better with time.
