Big cup holder mod

    I have has a couple of people ask how i did this mod so here goes.

    what you will need
    spiral saw
    cup holder the one i used came from West Marine part#396574

    First you will need to figure out where to put it look behind the console to see what is back there before you start cutting.
    Then cut hole for new cup holder do a little at a time till it is perfect

    I also had to trim part of the shift mechanism, it just holds the rubber piece that slides when you shift.

    After everything is trimmed I bedlinered the consol.

    Tired of dealing with regular tumblers at home... I suck down iced tea like Courtney Love sucks down heroin. Got a Double at work and used it for the rest of the day.
    Brought it home. Wife washed it, said I needed to "collect" some lids.
    Then her eyes lit up.
    The lid from a HyTop whipped cream cheese spread tub fits perfectly.
    I punched a hole in it and it works like a champ.

    Now I'm not always running back inside when I'm working on a project.

    Exactly what I did today. I also used some EDPM Foam and a piece of thin rubber mat and put them in the bottom on the cupholder just for extra protection.

    It basically pops right off. If you just grab the pen holder area and pull up, it will come up. Or use a plastic pry tool and pry up.
