are the gear ratio's interchangeable between 2wd and 4wd tacomas? i have a 2wd 2.7l with the 3.31 rear gears and at some point i'd like to swap them out for the 3.73 or the 4.10

i'd like to get better use of the really long gears on the 2wd's tranny. i don't drive on the highway much and i'm not real worried about gas mileage. if the truck had some lower gearing it'll be much quicker off the line and climb hills alittle better.

Makes sense, i thought you may be pulling a trailer. I pulled one today, with load maybe a 1000lbs, and my 4:10's made it seem effortlessly. :D
