it will definitely help rock crawling - unless you constantly navigate very narrow trails. If you're too wide, you may not be able to go certain places.

Check the last pages of my build page. A 3" wider LT would simply not be able to make it through these sections. My stock truck is almost too wide to make it through these areas. That would be the only downside.

I'm very impressed with the allpro expos we put on My brothers truck. And this is coming from a guy who hates leaf springs!

nice. I guess it just depends on how narrow we're talking:

I scrapped the sides of my bumeprs, doors, bedsides, and sliders because the truck was "too" wide to navigate certain areas without sacrificing scraping the sides. My tires were as wide as could be in order to make it up the section in the part of the video where I am going up the narrow incline chute - I literally had both tires already rubbing against both sides of this section simultaneously.

But you do have a 1st gen and you are a little narrower so if you got a 3.5'' over kit you would only be slightly wider than a 2nd gen. Does this sound right?

yes but i have been spots where if i was any wider i wouldn't had made it through. im just trying to find a better alternative than chopping up my truck and spending $4000-$5000 for sas then having it not running for a month.
