Wow Teton Tacoma, Thank you for learning the difference between "wild" and "native"... or at least stating it that way. There are no native rainbow or brown trout in the US. A rainbow trout is as "synthetic" as it gets. Browns too...

But... but... rainbows are so tasty. :pout:

But seriously, what do you mean by synthetic? I know the difference between wild and native, but these darn polyester fish are a mystery to me?

Killdeer is out in the middle of nowhere. But at least you have the Killdeer mountains and the badlands to look at! Lol. Sorry. I grew up in Grassy Butte so I know exactly how out in the middle of nowhere you are. If you get out to the bars in Killdeer I bet you even know or work with a few of my relatives. Lol. What company are you working for and who's locations?

You know, that might be one of the best locations in that whole area. LOL. The reason I ask who you work for is because my dad is the Production Superindendant for EOG Resources and his best friend is the same for Whiting. And my brother is the Inventory Manager for Whiting. My dad and brother are based out of Stanley, ND and my dad's buddy is out of Dickinson, ND. Not sure if you know it or not, but you are in prime cougar hunting country. There are quite a few of them in the Grassy Butte/Killdeer area. I have a picture my dad sent me from just north of Grassy Butte of a couple of cougars that got caught on a trail camera and one of my old classmates bagged a huge one in the same area. If you like to hunt, since there isn't much wheeling in that area but it at least gives you something to do when your not working. If you ever have situation, not working.....LOL

I have no argument there. I thought u had a post tho calling a brown or rainbow native. Prob my mistake. I shouldnt be trying to rip on you, but it was disappointing whoever posted it. Rainbows were native to the Pacific, yes. But you can go out and catch a rainbow, anywhere you want, through breeding and stocking waters for the sake of the sport, its genes have been so drastically modified, todays rainbow really is no longer a native. Fishing is amazing regardless and you have a sweet job. I just look at a rainbow with a different view these days. Thats why (any) cutt is my fav:D

Thats sweet man! I didnt even think mt lions would be here. They are crazy and a hunt would be so intense. Hard to get past seeing SO many phesants and thinking how badly you want to get out the 12 gauge. Lots of company polices dont allow guns on location, but some do. I would hunt a coug for sure.
My buddy's dad works for Whiting, based in Denver. Small world right? Im headed to Dickinson soon for groceries, I'll keep an extra eye out for cougs, small chances, but maybe someday.

Safety Officer for the Airport Authority. It entails a 24 hour shift and a combination of Police Patrol, Structural Firefighter, ARFF (Aircraft Rescue Firefighter), EMT & Airfield Inspector. Never a dull moment! I always look foreward to jumping in the Tacoma at the end of a long shift!

That's awesome. Can't beat being a fishing guide.

I've guided a few times for a guy I know. It's incredible. And people are willing to pay just about whatever you want...plus a tip. I knew I wanted to do it a lot more after the first time I helped the guy out (my girlfriend's brother worked for him all the time...until he moved to Charleston SC fora new job). First time out, we had the same group of people 2 days in a row. First day was a wading trip, 4 hours long. Second day was a float trip, another 4 hours long. A total of 8 hours on the river, teaching people how to fly fish and watching people catch fish, and made over $400 (each) with the tip they threw in.
