Limited Slip Differential, does my truck have this?

Hello Forum,

I have an '08 Prerunner 4.0 V6 Double Cab. How can I know if it has Limited Slip? I assume that I don't have the Locker Diff, Right?

Is it sport? Look at the axle for a lsd oil only sticker.

 

If you have an offroad, you have the locker. I think everything else has the lsd. Turn off traction control and see if auto LSD comes on.

 

Wont be auto on a 08

Coming from a 1st gen (tacoman355) so still learning. Love the truck though man. Looks real clean

 

Some double cab longbeds SR5's from 05-08 came with the mechanical LSD. Check for the sticker on the diff housing.

My truck does not have any traction control buttons at all.
Its an SR5 PRERUNNER (not a TRD). If that helps.

 

If your diff doesn't have this sticker, then you don't have the LS.

 

X1000 on checking for the sticker (link in my sig too). Most of the SR5 packages that had the LSD were on DC LBs. But Toyota did offer it as a separate option on other cab configs too.

 

Well, what if the sticker was removed or has fallen off?
I would still start by looking for this sticker, but you could also run your vin # at the dealer to be sure.

 

Pressure washer hasnt taken mine off... cleaned it a few times too
