Thanks! My last truck (a '91 4x4 Extra Cab Toy) was my mean and nasty vehicle; lots of rust, dings and wear and tear. Sold it a couple of weeks after I got this after 17 years.
Just trying to improve on the image!

I would like to see a pic of those HID's. I want some but don't know what brand or color light I want, either white or the blue.

I have the 8000k (light blue) in the Tacoma, but now LEO is giving tickets if it doesn't look OE. So last week I put 6000k in my SMART car and it looks great, not to mention the visibility is much better. A closer match to factory color would be 5000k, but I always like to see a little something that looks different.

So the 8000 aren't legal, and you see better with the 6000? Glad you mentioned that I was looking at the 8K

Nice lights and thanks for sharing. I remember having purchased 3 pack puck lights from Costco. Since I don't have the time or electrical skills to hard wire the lights. I went with something simplier. I bought a couple of magnets from HomeDepot attached the velcros to the puck lights and magnets...works for me. I currently store them in my back seat compartments. It will come in handy when needed. Thanks for the idea.

Hey man, I really like the under body light kit you got going on with your truck. I was looking to get one installed on my truck and was planing to do it myself. Could you tell me how you got the main Control Unit installed inside the truck(wiring from outside of truck to inside) and where you put it exactly?

    Thanks

Thanks! I didn't put the control unit inside the cab; instead I put it under the hood on the drivers side basically on top of the wheel well. I simply used velcro and taped it on as it was extremely light weight. All of the extra wiring tucked behind and on top of it. One of the issues I saw with trying to put it inside of the cab is that the connectors are BIG. I thought about cutting them and pushing the wires through but after considering the risk of putting the connectors back on and have the same quality connection I decided it was a bad idea.
This has worked for about 9 months now with no problems. My kids and all of the neighbors and all of the scouts in my cub pack love them.
I most look under the truck after meetings to check for kids :D

If you have any of other questions just let me know!

Was the installation simple? Could you please tell me how you attached the LED tubes to your truck?
    I really appreciate your replies:)

The kit I used came with plastic clips. I used 3 per side under the truck, but one on each side broke at some point so I put on zip ties. At this point knowing that I probably would not bother with the clips. I zip tied the ones in the bed too since there were drain holes in the rail system I could use.

Nice lighting......I notice by your driveway pics you're a white vehicle family. We're a silver family, lol. Not sure how, just ended up that way. RAV4, Taco & 323F all silver/black.

It was fairly simple. I didn't use the clips that pt mentioned; there are two screw holes on the end of each light tube; I drilled holes into the bottom of the rocker panels and installed the lights there putting one short light strip and one long strip on each side. Thought it looked better then trying to put the short ones on the back and the front.

The wiring was really simple since the kit has everything built with their own custom connectors. The only thing I had to do was wire the power in. I used an add-a-circuit and from the main fuse box I ran a wire out of the bottom to power the unit. It has power all of the time so that I can use the lights when the ignition is off. Since they are LED, you can leave them on for a long time.

Yep, three white toys - a Sienna and a Corolla to go along with my Tacoma. Used to have a white pathfinder too before someone pulled out in front of my wife and it got totaled.

My previous ride that I drove for 17+ years was a silver (gray) Toy 4x4 xcab truck. I got tired of that color after so many years.

Hi, Could you tell me if you did any additional wiring for the led light that are under your trucks body? Or did you simply use what was provided with the package?
    Thanks

Sure! everything is plug and play up to the point of powering the control box. It is basically two wires that you will need to hook up. I have wire and splice and butt connectors; I bought a thing called add-a-circuit which allows you to take a fuse out of the fuse box and replace it with the add-a-circuit which contains two fuses - one for the original circuit and one for your new circuit. This is a simple plug and play device. It has a wire with a supplied connector coming out of it. you'll need to provide a separate connector and some additional wire to make the connection that provides the charge. You then need to get a ring connector after extending the black wire for the ground and ground it somewhere. I put over the top of an existing ground; very easily accomplished.
Of course during all of this I also hooked up the pin switch (which is grounded) and powered my new LED lights that you see in the original write up. I also put a 12V plug so that I could power my cheap wal-mart magnet light (yellow in the picture) or any other device under the hood.

Is the add a connector required for the installation or is it installed so you can turn the lights on when the truck isn't running?
